This is a first effort for the Red Sea team to explore songwriting together. In our last album, I [Linda Gray] wrote the songs and Matt Hyde instrumentally interpreted. Our new process involved two separate studios and two very different musical styles merging into . . . well, we were not quite sure what it would be . . . . blink. Matt started some of the music from his studio, I started some of it from mine. I work from the keyboard and I'm a lyricist; he works with rhythm and guitars. We pass the file back and forth under the watchful eye of Frosty Gray, our producer, until we are all satisfied that it is ready to finalize. For the music buffs out there: we use the latest versions of ProTools and Reason. Everything locked to the grid and LOUD! Hahahahaha!! We hope you like it. We are all three deeply in love with the Savior and feel that the NEW SONG of his arrival will be the best song ever written. We figure if we happen to write it, it will hasten his return. Possible? ok. . . .well. . . we are just here writing like we mean it. We live in Los Angeles, but that kind of doesn't matter. The world is open to us ALL to share whatever the Lord gives us, right? We say: let the Church speak and let the world listen. We say it with a smile.
