More Info:

Murray Asuka and Kitamura Satoshi, a duo whose sensitivities resonate with each other, are two musicians who support Japanese music.Based on Argentine music, their creations transcend the boundaries of categories, including four commissioned pieces from the genius composers Diego Schissi, Gerardo di Giusto, Nakajima Nobuyuki, and Hasama Miho. Agem of a performance that resonates in a time of confusion, with a sense of life, emotions of joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness, prayer, and celebration!! A gem ofa duo work by Murray Asuka, a violinist who has supported the Japanese music scene for many years and is active internationally, and Kitamura Satoshi, a master of the bandoneon who is active in many fields, including live performances and performances for movies and dramas. The two first met in 2011, just after the Great East Japan Earthquake. In a time of confusion, Asuka was impressed by Kitamura's delicate playing, and began their activities. Although Asuka is based in the United States, she has been deepening her musical skills by performing repeatedly every time she returns to Japan. The band features bandoneon and violin, and while the music is based on Argentine music, the songs are diverse. Three of the songs are originals by the two, and four are new pieces commissioned for the two, with music provided by a luxurious group of composers including Diego Schisi, Gerardo di Hiusto, Nobuyuki Nakajima, and Miho Hasama. As Murray Asuka says, 'I want to connect jazz, tango, and alternative music and weave the sounds of the current era,' the music transcends genres. Furthermore, the works express thoughts and prayers for living in the present. From the opening, which pays tribute to events such as Chernobyl, Fukushima, and 9/11, to prayers for peace, the breath of life, and celebrations, the performance resonates with deep emotional expression. The last piece is a requiem for the souls of 3/11. This sorrowful beauty is gentle and sad. The performance, performed with musical breathing, will surely move the hearts of many people.Songlist1. One Evening by Aska Maret2.
