Sadie Dupuis (Speedy Ortiz) Poetry Reading
Join us on April 6th as we welcome Sadie Dupuis from Speedy Ortiz! Sadie will be in the shop doing a reading from her most recent collection of poetry, Cry Perfume, followed by a Q&A.
About the author:
Sadie Dupuis is the guitarist, songwriter & singer of rockband Speedy Ortiz, as well as the producer & multi-instrumentalist behind pop project Sad13. Sadie heads the record label Wax Nine, edits its poetry journal, and has written for outlets including Spin, Nylon, and Tape Op. She holds an MFA in poetry from UMass Amherst, where she also taught writing. Mouthguard, her first book, was published in 2018 (Gramma, Black Ocean);Cry Perfume is her second collection. She is an organizer with the Union of Musicians & Allied Workers and its local UMAW Philly.
