New and/or Notable Stuff for the week of August 31

This week is full of new stuff and reissues! Stop by Criminal Records and check out Jenny & Johnny, Sonny & The Sunsets, Black Crowes, and more! We'll see you at the store! - Emily

CDs:

Jenny & Johnny - I'm Having Fun Now CD/LP+CD (WB)
Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice have been collaborating on and off for years, each contributing to the other's solo records and live shows, but with this record they had a different intention: using their two voices in close harmony and playing practically every instrument themselves. The result is an eleven-song thirty-five minute blast of whip-smart rock & roll.

Sonny & The Sunsets - Tomorrow Is Alright CD (Fat Possum)
Vintage-style West Coast pop songs that tell sordid tales of distant travels, heavenly visions and otherworldly despair.

Black Crowes - Croweology 3xLP (Silver Arrow/Megaforce)
Recently released on CD -- now available on vinyl. Double album of acoustic material.
